Understanding Mailrelay's dashboard

How to use the Mailrelay Dashboard

TABLE OF CONTENTS

The Dashboard is the main screen you can access after logging in to any Mailrelay account, and the first option available in the main menu of the application, on the left side of the screen.

It is organized into eight independent blocks that show graphical information on different aspects related to the activity of the account and of your campaigns.

1.1 Overview

In this area, as its name suggests, you will see a summary of the results generated by the campaigns sent in the last seven days (Emails sent, Delivered, Soft Bounced and Bounced); for this, four ring graphs are used, in which the percentage of the metric in relation to the total is shown in the central part of each ring.

Similarly, on the right-hand side, there is a table for data related to Openers, Clickers, Unsubscribes, Total of openers, New subscribers, Total of clicks and Spam reports.

The date range can be modified from the drop-down menu on the top right where you can select: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current month, Last month or Custom range; in the latter case, you can select a start and end date to get the report based on this date range.

1.2 Account usage

In this second area, you will have a visual representation of the usage of your monthly plan or prepaid package.

  • Monthly plans: in the case of monthly plans, you will be shown information related to thenumber of emails sent in the current monthly period ( Package statistics ) and  the number of different subscribers used ( Subscriber usage ).

Next to it, at the bottom, the text "The package usage will be renewed on", together with a date, which will indicate the date on which the monthly package will be reset (the counter is reset to 0 again).

  • - Prepaid package: if the account has a prepaid package activated, only the information regarding the number of emails sent will be displayed in relation to the number of purchased credits (Package statistics).

1.3 General statistics

A simple bar chart shows the number of Emails sent, Delivered, Impressions and Clicks that have been generated on the account in a specific period of time, by default during the last seven days (Last 7 days).

The Sent Emails data is composed only of the campaigns sent during the selected time period (it can be modified between Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current month, Last month or Custom range).

On the other hand, the other values (Delivered , Impressions and Clicks) include the interactions generated in previous campaigns, so that if an email sent several days ago ends up being delivered in the selected time interval, this delivery will be computed in this report, the same thing will happen in the case of impressions and clicks from previous newsletters generated within the selected interval.

1.4 Last sent campaigns

It provides a list of the last ten newsletters sent from the account, in descending order (from the most recent to the oldest campaign). Clicking on the subject line of each of them will take you directly to the statistics of the campaign (equivalent to clicking on Reports>>Sent Campaigns>>Show).

Next to each newsletter, there is information about the status of the campaign (Finished, Scheduled, Canceled or Paused).

1.5 Real-time activity

As the name implies, it shows the latest activities of subscribers on campaigns sent by the account, regardless of whether the newsletter was sent during the current billing period or from previous periods.

This allows you to see the email that performed the action, the type of action and the date it happened.

1.6 Activity map

This is an interactive map that shows subscriber activities based on their geographical location.

The map has zoom controls, allowing you to track concretely subscriber activities and to download the map in .png format (to do so, simply right-click on the map and select the Save image as option).

1.7 Openers (Impressions) - Best times of the day

In this area, a dynamic graph is displayed showing the number of Impressions in your account, based on the hours, so you can define the best times to send your campaigns. This data takes into account all the newsletters sent from the account.

You can filter the results obtained from the drop-down menu at the top right of the page and select: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current month, Last month or Custom range; in the latter case, you can select a start and end date to get the report based on that date range.

The top of the graph shows the day of the week and the side axis shows the time.

1.8 Clicks - Best times of the day

This area is the same as the previous one (Impressions - Best times of the day), except that the data used to compose the graph is the clicks received on the campaigns you have sent. This data takes into account the total number of campaigns you have sent from your account.

You can filter the results obtained from the drop-down menu in the top right corner, where you can select: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Current month, Last month or Custom range; in the latter case, you can select a start date and an end date to get the report based on that date range.

The upper part of the graph shows the day of the week and the side axis shows the time.
